The World of Vegetables tram runs in Szeged
The city of Szeged has long been famous for its yellow trams, the “tujas”. With a population of nearly 162,000, Szeged is one of only four cities in the country with a tram network.
The city’s lines are constantly improving: the two most popular tram lines in the city, No 1 and No 2, have been upgraded with several EU funds. These improvements have been replaced by new, environmentally and passenger-friendly vehicles. Nine Polish Pesa low-floor trams have been delivered to the city. These trams, on the aforementioned lines 1 and 2, and occasionally 3-4, carry 45-50,000 passengers a day.
The owner of the vehicles, the Szeged Transport Company, decided to rent the surfaces of the Pesa trams as vehicle advertising exclusively to Szeged-based businesses. Therefore, Zöldség Világ Kft. decided to lease the traffic side of a Pesa 102 tram for one year. When designing the advertisement, the aim was to familiarise the inhabitants of Szeged and visitors to Szeged with the famous paprika varieties of the Southern Great Plain, produced by the members of Zöldség Világ Kft. using technology, and to encourage the viewers to consume Hungarian and local products. The photos of the paprika on the outside of the tram were accompanied by a short product brochure, which helps the customer to choose the type of paprika that best suits his needs.
The selected tram runs on lines 1 and 2.
If you live in Szeged, you will surely come across the tram advertisement of Zöldség Világ Kft. The spectacular, attention-grabbing graphic solution is a visual experience for everyone.
